Eyes definitely have some unique powers:
- Eye contact can make people fall in love with you. You can tell which couples are in love by how long they stare into each others eyes.
- They say making someone look into your eyes can facilitate lie detection and there is evidence that this is true.
- Feeling eyes looking at you (even if they’re on a picture) makes you behave better.
- Genuine smiles involve the eyes, not just the mouth.
- Women are better at detecting non-verbal emotion than men are — and this is partly because they pay more attention to people’s eyes.
